Thassos Lovers Beware!
If you love Thassos you will no doubt be aware that many of the major British tour companies have now pulled out leaving only Thomson. Holidayphotosite has learnt that many of the hotels are now looking to form a consortium and encourage tourists to book direct. One reason for this is that Thassos is now very popular in Russia and hotel owners are hoping to cash in on this market. British tourists could inevitably suffer as a result of this trend but more importantly could this happen on other Greek Islands.

Booking your family holidays starts here with The Holiday Photo Site. We have holiday photos and travel information guides on the Greek Islands, Balearic islands, Cyprus and the Canary Islands. If your looking for a beach holiday, the Greek Islands have long been a favourite of ours, beautiful sun drenched islands with soft white sands and warm emerald seas. If your looking for the more traditional Greece try one of the lesser known islands, such as Symi, Naxos, Skyros or Ithaka.
Most tourists first venture abroad is to one of the Balearic Islands, and why not. The Balearics can offer such a wide range of holidays to suit all tourists. Majorca is a prime example with its fantastic but sometimes crowded beaches to the quiet not so well known resorts in the north of the island. Many tourists visiting Majorca do not take advantage of the fantastic scenery along its north east coast.
Cyprus has become a popular travel destination with us and should not be dismissed when looking for the destination that suits you. The Cyprus climate is temperate and Mediterranean with hot, dry summers and cool, variably rainy winters with sufficient snow for a seasonal ski facility in the Troodos mountains.
If it is winter sun you are looking for try one of the Canary Islands, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria or Fuerteventura. For something a little more adventurous travel to La Palma, El Hierro or Gomera.
Where ever you decide to go for your holidays I hope this site has helped and please send those holiday photos to us when you return.
